We always try to aim to buy something specific. The last appeal got a little out of control, which was staggering in these days of recession and doom. It resulted in not only buying the Contessa Blood Cell Counter for £7,500 but also gave Enzo enough impetus to secure more funds to acquire a dedicated NANOSTRING machine, a massive project which HMCRT contributed £22,500 towards. See www.nanostring.com to learn more about this cutting-edge technology, which is what the Trust aims to back.
We started the latest project with £3,200 in the HMCRT Account and with over £4,000 further already in, that put us on target to raise over £7,500 in Summer 2012. We sent a total of £5,400 to ENZO's Immunology Research team to purchase 2 important items for the lab: First was the BioRad Trans-Blot Turbo transfer system and second was a critical new Microscope.
Particular thanks must go to Warminster School Speech Day Collection, Ben Hunt-Davis and the Henley RR Supporters of the Radley College BC for their generous contributions to these items.
